Hawaii Vacation

Just visiting my parents and sister in Hawaii. We went to see some fun art at the Maui Open Studos tour on Maui. It was the first year for the tour on Maui. The main event seemed to be at thenHui No`eau Visual Arts Center. At the center we saw Mavis Muller, artist/naturalist, public art facilitator, from Homer, Alaska.
Mavismullerart.com. She was working on a basket sculpture titled “UPLIFT”. She asked for people to add to her sculpture in the form of notes and prayers written on paper and leaves. The plan is to burn the sculpture at the Maui Source festival later in the month. It's Maui's version of a Burning Man like arts festival.
